Clacton's oldest cycle shop est 1946.

Mr Bertie Johnson started the firm in 1946 and retired in 1978.

Mr Arthur Lett  and Mr Jack Gray took over from that date.

 

Mr Lett retired in 1990 leaving Mr Gray as sole proprietor and in 1990 Mr Gray took on Mr Rod Bance as an assistant.

 

In March 2005 it was moved from 271 Old Road to 132 Wellesley Road.

 

Mr Gray retired from day to day running of the the Cycle Mart in 2011, from then onwards the day to day running of the Cyclemart is now Carried out by Mr Rod Bance.
